Sepahan beat Damash in its away game to overtake Esteghlal at the top of the Iran Professional League (IPL) standing table on Friday.

Reigning champion Sepahan defeated Damash 1-0 thanks to a late goal from Emad Mohammad Reza.

Elsewhere, Naft was held to a 1-1 draw by Traktorsazi, Rah Ahan defeated Sepasi 2-1, Shahrdari drew with Foolad 1-1 Sanat Naft lost to Malavan 2-1 in its home game. Sepahan went top of the IPL standings table on goal difference with 46 points, followed by Esteghlal and Traktorsazi.
